Dancers clean up

MOTORISTS saw a gleaming performance by members of the Glenda Hill Theatreworks who spent a Saturday cleaning cars in a fundraiser.

The dance and drama group scrubbed cars and vans clean all day and raised almost £900 to fund their next production.

Sharon Gill, who helped organise the event, said: "Our students were doing such a good job people came back later with other cars for us to clean!

Everyone who paid the £2 to get their car washed was entered into a draw to win a £50 car valet voucher. Sharon would like to thank Derek, Keith and Paul who donated the prize and spent the whole day helping out.
