Saddleworth Rangers U7s 8

MOORFIELD produced arguably the best performance of the season against a big mobile Saddleworth side.

Matthew Broderick and Connor Fenlon led the way with some excellent tackling.

There were early scores from Jack Armstrong (two tries) and Matthew Bannerman as both gave outstanding performances both in attack and defence.

In the first 20 massive hits from Sam Brady (one try) and Cavan Rice (one try) ensured the line was never breached.

Adam Heyes (two tries), had his best game, his mazy runs resulted him crossing the line.

Patrick McMullin and Joe Lyons (one try) punched major holes in the Saddleworth defence.

Patrick typified the display with some gutsy running, despite taking a heavy blow in the second half. Opposition man of the match went to Jack Armstrong for the second week in succession.

Man of the match went to Adam Heyes for a truly outstanding performance.
