Vics sale comes closer

A NEW era has dawned in Northwich Victoria Football Club's long history after creditors gave unanimous approval for the sale of the club to businessman Mike Connett.

At an extraordinary meeting held at the Thistle Hotel unanimous approval was also given to the Creditors Voluntary Arrangement, essential in bringing the club out of administration.

The actual selling price of the ground and business is £250,000. However, when all figures are taken into account such as the commitment to finish the Victoria Stadium and lease back the ground to the club, the amount is approximately £1m.

Any creditors who do not support the scheme have 28 days to appeal against it.
