End of the wait for Frank

FRANK Endacott has ended weeks of speculation by finally agreeing to become head coach at Widnes Vikings.

The 58-year-old Kiwi spent almost a month resolving business interests in New Zealand after keeping the Vikings up but has put fans out of their misery by saying those magic words 'I do' to a two-year deal.

He said: "It's taken a couple of weeks longer to sort out than I'd hoped but I couldn't wait any longer.

"The level of support I got from the people of Widnes was tremendous so I can't wait to get back into the team and start going forward.

"Widnes is a club with immense potential," he added.

The former New Zealand and Wigan coach is scheduled to touch down at the Halton Stadium in a months time to prepare the club for Super League X.
