No to transfers

PATIENTS at Halton Hospital and elsewhere should not be transferred when they need emergency treatment.

The pressure that staff are being put under when patients need moving is terrible, and it is not the right way for patients to be treated.

They should be transferred for specialist treatment, other than that they should stay in their local hospital and not be moved.

A friend of mine in London had to have a breach caesarean and she was transferred and it took half and hour to get there. The child was born with severe brain damage. It was an absolute tragedy. This shouldn't happen anywhere in the country and it shouldn't be allowed to happen in Halton. It's not just Halton that's going to suffer, it's the whole of the NHS and it is coming in through the back door. They say there's not enough beds or enough money but they should find it. Thanks to all the public who have started supporting the staff at Halton.
