Got the hump

I DRIVE a 'Classic Reliant car', 27-years-old, which I am restoring slowly.

Recently I painfully manoeuvred around some traffic calming humps in the Rainhill district. I wasn't very successful and my car has suffered shock absorber damage where the shocker/axle mount has broken due to 'hitting the hump'.

Can I claim compensation? Do the Highways Dept enjoy damaging our cars and making driving impossible?

ANGRY driver, (name and address supplied).
