Ofsted praise for school

GLAZEBURY Church of England school has been praised by Ofsted inspectors for offering a 'sound quality of education' and 'good quality and leadership'.

The report, published earlier this month, also stated that the pupils' personal development, including their spiritual, moral, social and cultural development, 'is very good'.

Head teacher, Elaine Morgan, said: "I am pleased with this positive report, which reflects the evaluation the school has already undertaken."

Inspectors also noted that assessment systems at the school are thorough and give teachers a clear idea of what the pupils need to learn next.

Attendance levels are well above the national average and all members of the school share a good relationship.

Praise was also given to the level of support offered to pupils with special educational needs and the clear leadership at the school.

Mrs Caswell, chairman of governors, said: "The governors are delighted with the report and would like to thank pupils, staff and parents for all their hard work and look forward to ensuring the school continues to move forward in the future."
