JOLLY Brewer are the new section six leaders despite having an open date last week.

This was because leaders Them Lot lost their unbeaten record, losing 7/2 to Trannie Mix last Thursday night.

Halfway Mixed went third after beating Union Pods 7/2, the losers are now bottom.

Grapes B slipped to fourth after losing 5/4 to Clarendon.

Lion Stonecutters continue to lead the way in section five after beating The Burma 7/2 while Grapes are now second after fighting back from 3/1 down to beat Pavilions B 6/3.

The losers, who were handicapped by a shortage of players slipped to third while Total Confusion remain bottom after losing 5/4 to Riley's Lot.

Section one leaders Albion were given a real test by Lion Doo Waps before John Kilkenny won the decider in 19 darts with teammate Phil Littler having previously finished in 17.

This was the case for second placed Navvy with skipper Neil Ward winning the decider against Tricorn.

This match produced a maximum from Tricorn's, Steve Roberts and a 121 finish from teammate Ian King while Navvy's double pairing of Kevin Jones and Mark Chimes finished in 18 darts.

Tranny Lads' Steve Allan finished in 19 darts and teammate James Keelan hit a 171 score but their team remain at the foot of the table after losing 5/4 to Likely Lads.

Clarry B's Ian White hit a maximum in his team's 5/4 win against Halfway A.

Halfway Gents remain four points clear at the top of section two after a 17 dart game, which included a maximum from Steve McKay, helped the leaders to a 7/2 win against Pavilions A.

Outcasts are now second after beating Union Tavern 7/2.

Red Admiral are still searching for their first points of the season after losing 6/3 to Wanderers.

This match produced a maximum from the winners Graham Ridgway and a 100 finish from the Admirals Dave Ocego.

Section four leaders Fiddlers III tasted defeat for the first time when they lost out 5/4 to Dev Superstars.

This match produced a maximum from the losers' Andy McCulloch.

Navvy Lads remain second after beating Weston Point SC 5/4 with the losers still without a win.

Waterloo were able to move ahead of Croft into fourth place after they won this fixture 6/3.

With section three leaders RAOB Buffs having an open date both Royal Oak and RNA were able to draw level on points with the leaders after the former beat Dreadnaughts 7/2 and RNA beat Lion 6/3.

Draymen are now fourth after beating Prospect Has Beens by the odd game.

Navvy Lads provided a real surprise in the first round of the Apec Taxis KO cup competition played last Friday night when the section four team beat section one opponents Clarry B 7/2.

Other teams to beat higher graded opponents were Riley's Lot, Jolly Brewer and Royal Oak.

Good individual performances came from John Kilkenny (Albion) and Dave Houlgrave (Red Admiral) who both finished in 17 darts and Tony Anderton (Lion Doo Waps) who recorded a 124 finish.

Phil Messer (Lion Stonecutters) recorded an 18 dart game which included a score of 171 (three treble 19s) to help put his team into a 3/0 lead against Roundhouse but the latter rallied to win 5/4.

The only maximum of the night came from Karl Windisch (Likely Lads) but his team went on to lose 6/3 to Halfway A.
