LEE Bailey was crowned the youth champion of the 2004 www.estellevillas.com Saturday Morning Bowls League at the weekend despite losing 21-19 to his nearest rival Peter Maddock.

However, there is still everything to play for in the junior league.

Kadie Braide, Louise Sullivan, Harriet Ellison, Daniel Roberts and Kyle Chapman all have a chance of claiming the title and the remaining players are all in contention for a top eight play-off place.

The cadet players were also in action at the weekend.

There was again a good turnout with some of the better performances coming from Elle Howell, Christopher Leeming, Danielle Bush and Mike Yule.
