1,000 WOMEN PREPARE TO RACE FOR LIFE

RUNNERS, joggers and walkers will be lining up at Walton Hall Gardens to Race for Life this Sunday.

A total of 1,000 women have put their names down to tackle the three-mile race, sponsored by the Warrington Guardian.

The course is a mixture of paths and roads crossing Appleton reservoir and the Bridgewater Canal.

Whether you are running Sunday's race because you are a survivor or you want to dedicate your race in memory of or in celebration of a loved one, the focus of the day is on having fun and raising money.

Organisers have asked anyone taking part to arrive early and to share lifts where possible.

If you are travelling by car, take the A56 out of Warrington and turn left after the Walton Arms.

Alternatively, from the M56 come off at junction 11, follow the A56 to Warrington and turn right at the Walton Arms.

There is a pay and display car park at Walton Hall Gardens.
