MERSEYSIDE police are inviting Newton residents to have their say on race relations.

The police force is reviewing its policies to make sure unlawful racial discrimination is eliminated and equal opportunities and good relations between people from different racial groups are promoted.

Sergeant Neil Kavanagh said: "This is a great opportunity for the people of St Helens to make a difference.

"Your comments will be invaluable to improving the standards of service that Merseyside police deliver to you."
