Have your say in the great M6 debate

MOTORWAY chiefs are asking people in Warrington for comments on how they can relieve congestion and reduce accidents on the M6.

The Highways Agency is drawing up a 15-year strategy for the management and improvement of the motorway between junction 20 at Lymm and junction 11a at Cannock in Staffordshire.

And they are asking the public to go along to Warrington Library to look at various proposals and comment on them.

The M6 Route Management Strategy will consider ways to relieve congestion, reduce the number and severity of accidents, reduce the impact of the motorway on the environment and local communities, and control the impact of any future developments along the route. Consultations run until Monday, August 23.

Questionnaires are available at the library, which can be returned to David Spaul, M6 RMS Team, Pell Frischmann, George Street, Wakefield, WF1 1LY or by email at m6j16j20rms@pellfrischmann
