Bethany prepares for her crowning moment

A NEW rose queen has been selected to represent Christ Church in Latchford this summer.

Bethany Burke, aged eight, is a member of the CE church's Sunday school and will be crowned at the Rose Queen Festival on Saturday, June 26.

Steve Wright, the co-ordinator of St Margaret's Community Centre in Westy, will preside over the ceremony, which will take place on the vicarage lawn, Wash Lane, at 1.30pm.
