Youngsters discuss improvements

COMMUNITY police officers held a meeting with youths at the Whitecross Community Centre last month to discuss what improvements can be made in the area.

The meeting was a chance for youths to meet representatives from the Community Action Team, council rangers, councillors and community leaders.

The group of young people selected spokesmen to raise issues in the meeting.

Ged Kelly, chairman of the Whitecross Residents' Association, said that he hoped it would become a regular event and was waiting on feedback before arranging the next one.
