Halton U12s

St Helens U12s 8 Halton U12s 10

HALTON performed superbly in a game many expected them to lose.

They started the stronger forcing the errors but couldn't manage to get over the line.

St Helens fought back and scored in the corner after a succession of penalties.

Halton responded with a try in the corner from winger Luke Willings and went in at half time 4-4.

Halton then went ahead after the restart with a superb solo effort from Ben Karalius.

St Helens replied with a quick try and the scores were level again.

Halton then pressured the St Helens defence again and forced a penalty which Jamie Hurstfield converted.

Halton held on to the end and showed plenty of determination in defence with all the team showing they can perform against the best.
