SHOPPERS in Widnes market will benefit from a newly installed cooling system this summer.
It will keep summer temperatures down from a sweltering 30 degrees centigrade to a more comfortable 20.
Halton Council has bought the cooling system from Breezair. The units are designed to avoid 'sick building' syndrome by continually washing the air.
