Trinity Green will bring a touch of city style to town

A LUXURY housing development was launched in the heart of Howley last week and developers say it will give the area a touch of style.

The Trinity Green development, at the site of the former National Parochial School, on Church Street, will create a total of 153 new homes.

Warrington-based Countryside Properties says that it will create a new urban quarter with city style and sophistication.

Ian Kelley, managing director, said: "Many of our employees, at all levels of the company, are Warrington born and bred and so we are particularly proud of this scheme.

"We believe it will put city centre style into the town.

"Judging from the very high levels of interest so far there is great demand in Warrington and its surrounding area for this type of urban living."

The development will provide 30 one-bedroom and 67 two-bedroom apartments, along with 21 three-bedroom and 35 four-bedroom luxury executive homes, all set around a village green and the renovated school.

Mr Kelley added that it was an important site for Howley, which will benefit from a vibrant new community on its doorstep.

Arnold Wright, chairman of St Elphin's Community and Residents Association, said: "I think most of the residents are pleased that the land is being used and that there will be more people moving in."

He added that some people were worried about the increase in traffic but said that the development could also increase the numbers of people that go to the Howley Carnival and the area's community centres.
