Ceremony proves Mayor is a good sport
MAYOR of Warrington, Clr Pauline Nelson was the first person to use the new multi-purpose sports pitch at Birchwood Community High School.
The new pitch was opened on Monday, May 24, after a brief ceremony.
The pitch is part of a £600,000 expansion programme part funded by Birchwood Town council.
Located by the school's new arts building, the pitch is open for use by the Birchwood community.
