Third place in trophy gala

WARRIORS of Warrington Swimming Club finished in third place in their first shot at the Northwich Age Group Trophy Gala.

The club's 32-strong team won 11 of the 50 events.

But Northwich and Trafford performed even better in an exciting night of swimming.

Charlotte Dickinson and Tasha Creswell both won at least three gold medals for Warrington.

They triumphed in the girls' nine-year 25 metres butterfly and freestyle events respectively and enjoyed freestyle and medley relay glory with Lucy Barker and Rebecca Coy.

Charlotte also enjoyed a freestyle cannon relay success with Jessica Richardson, Hanna Williamson and Vicky Boswell.

Ten-year-olds Danielle Roberts and Katherine Stephenson secured a trio of gold medals as well.
