Pleasant surprise

I HAVE just been visiting Runcorn after 15 years since and what a surprise it was. People moan about the place saying there's nothing down town at all. It was hard to find parking spaces when I needed them, so there were plenty of people around for a ghost town.

I found people very polite, especially when giving way on those tight streets when driving.

It's a pity the ones on the Runcorn Bridge didn't take lessons, and of course it is way behind time that the talking stops and the building of the new bridge got going.

Let's hope they build it for expansion and don't make the same mistake they did with the last one, outdated before they built it.

Don't believe the old saying 'ask a cop for directions', I was lost behind Halton Castle in a new housing area, and he couldn't tell me how to find Norton Priory. I would just like to say I enjoyed my visit.
