We heard it through the Grapevine

IMAGINE selling your house, leaving your friends and starting a new life in a foreign country?

That's exactly what Rosemary and Greg Wallsworth did - with every step of their intrepid journey captured on film!

Their dream of setting up a new home and estate agents in Almeria will be screened in the Channel 4 series No Going Back at 8pm on Thursday, June 10.

"It was sometimes unnerving in front of the camera," said former World advertising rep Rosemary. "But as time passed it became easier. We forgot the camera was there, relaxed and enjoyed the experience."

Their emotional farewell party in England was filmed, as they spoke about their plans.

Film crews followed them to Spain as they lived in a caravan until they bought and renovated a property in Cortijo, Olula Del Rio.

"Initially we concentrated on finding and improving a family home for ourselves and our two sons, Nick and Ben," explained Rosemary. "Our daughter Emma remained in England.

"Once happily settled, we decided the time was right to become involved in a business venture."

They launched Grapevine Properties, an estate agents aimed at helping British people buy properties. Their fellow directors include Bryan Williams whose has lived for 11 years with his Spanish wife, Olula and Miguel Sanchez Carreno, a retired police chief with the Guardia Civil.

"Being able to speak fluent Spanish, Bryan is an excellent interpreter and can help clients through all the stages of dealing with the legalities of purchasing a property," said Rosemary.
