Child porn man shamed

A NANTWICH man, who subscribed to child pornography sites and bought a mass of images, was uncovered by US police, a court heard.

Married father-of-two Ivon Roberts, aged 41, of Burgess Close, Stapeley, was sentenced at Chester Crown Court yesterday, Wednesday, after admitting buying and making 134 indecent images of children aged as young as 11.

A worldwide paedophile investigation uncovered his details after its operation arrested an American husband-and wife in relation to a child porn website in 1999.

As investigating officers trawled through data on the 'Lolita' website, they found Roberts' password, credit card number and address, the court heard.

He had been a customer and had downloaded images from the site and viewed them at regular intervals between September 2001 and October 2002.

US police informed their Cheshire colleagues and a search of Roberts' Nantwich home unveiled a horde of compact discs containing indecent images.

Prosecutor Wyn Lloyd-Jones, said: "The police expert is able to say when these images were put on the CDs and it's quite clear that it happened on August 19 and 20 2001.

"He admitted that he subscribed and had access to a website that showed young girls.

"He also said he had downloaded images from his computer and had placed the images in order to provide an index, under the file names of Intercity and Trains 2.

"They are all of the level one strength showing naked, underage females exposing their genital areas."
