Youths tear up pitches at Victoria Park

NUISANCE youths tore up some of the grounds at Victoria Park in Latchford last week when they went on a joyride in a dumper truck.

It is believed that a group of youths drove the dumper truck over the football pitches, knocking over bins and crashing into trees, over the weekend of February 21 and 22.

A spokesman for the police's South Warrington Community Action Team confirmed that there was a report of youths riding a vehicle in the park.

Victoria Park is currently being fitted with a new drainage system to help ease the large amount of flooding that it suffers after rainfall.
