Seeing red

I WAS shocked to read Dave Cargill's report of the Runcorn v Southport game.

The only thing I agree with is the poor organisation at the stadium, the rest is absolute nonsense.

Mr Cargill may not want to see away supporters at Runcorn matches but that is a fact of life in football.

I saw and heard no hostile remarks during the 90 minutes of the game, nor before or after.

To call all 600 Southport fans 'hostiles' is grossly insulting. His description of the 'vociferous support' is also strange.

The Southport fans were quiet compared to most matches. Mr Cargill must be used to watching football in a library.

I am left wondering if Mr Cargill was at the same game.

If attendance at Runcorn games is poor, maybe people like Mr Cargill should refrain from insulting football supporters who give their hard earned money to the club.
