Food for thought

HAVING visited the Eight Towers public house on February 24 with my daughter and two grandchildren - aged two and one - we had two adult meals and two children's meals.

After having the main course we ordered one child's desert, you could choose either ice-lolly or fruit with ice cream.

As one likes ice cream and the other likes fruit, when it arrived we asked for an extra dish or saucer, only to be told this was not possible.

We were offered an extra plastic spoon but no extra dish. I have never been refused anything like this before and after spending more than £22 I found this most unacceptable.

You would have thought that offering another dish with the service I would have returned again, but after this there is no way I will.

It wasn't as though it was busy there.

As there were only 10 people in the pub, and as we were on our way home, we thought we would try this place, but never again. This should be brought to the attention of the local people.
