Cool Citizens' game of life

AN EXCITING new board game that lets you learn while you play has been launched for children and teenagers in Halton.

Cool Citizen teaches people the values of being responsible, mature and respectful to others.

Launched by the Children and Young Peoples Participation Project, it features many ideas taken from young people themselves.

"It teaches a deeper sense of civic pride in where you live," said Cllr Eddie Jones.

"It is a colourful and exciting game designed to be thought provoking and engaging as well as good fun to play."

The games developer, project manager Jacqui Jones, said: "I tried it out with a group of teenagers and I was quite pleased with the response it got.

"We got positive feedback from them as well as useful pointers as to where it needs improving.

Confident

"I am confident it will be a popular game with young people who want to make Halton a better place to live."

Cool Citizen will be promoted in schools, libraries and youth centres throughout Halton and young people of any age can play.
