It's viva off to sunny Spain... in the classroom, that is

SPANISH classes for absolute beginners are back by popular demand at Newton's community centre.

Run by the WEA, the 15-week course promises to give people the confidence - and vocabulary - to hold basic conversations. Beginners are welcome to enrol at the first lesson on Wednesday, March 10, at 1pm.

Each lesson lasts for two hours, so the course's total teaching time is 30 hours.

Pictured are happy students Anne Blackburn and Juan Basaganas, who are about to move from the beginners' to the intermediate group.

The price for those in full employment is £56.60.

For full-time students, over 60s, retired people or those on incapacity benefit it is £42.80 and for those with an annual income below £14,000 it is £7.60.

For further details ring Cheryl or Anne at the centre on 01925 224 731.
