Trying to play it down

I will no doubt be one of many writing to you on the subject of the fiasco surrounding Warrington's first game at the new stadium.

As one of the people who was unable to gain access to the south stand despite arriving 25 minutes before kick-off, I personally feel cheated.

My point though surrounds the childish nature with which Mr Gatcliffe and the people at the club have dealt with the aftermath. If the organisation accepted with good grace that mistakes were made and that a good number of long term supporters were let down by the club, then it would be much easier to accept.

Instead the the club seems bent on qualifying its apologies and trying to play down any mistakes that were made in order to protect their own reputations.

Also those people who stayed around until close on half-time to be admitted should also be included in any figures regarding the disruption and in my opinion should also be refunded their admission fee.
