AN army of primrose and blue fans are expected to join Wolves on their first trip to Rochdale for 13 years.
And Wolves head coach Paul Cullen senses the value with which his players place on the team's vibrant supporters.
Cullen says: "I would like to think that an element of the support that we attracted to The Halliwell Jones Stadium on Saturday will be with us home and away this year. It's very important to us.
"It's noticeable, and I hear it on a daily basis among the players, how important the support is to them. I've noticed it more now than I've ever noticed it.
"I don't know whether or not it's because of the new stadium and the new situation but for Saturday's game we brought in 7,000 more fans than the average for a home game last year.
"That achievement is absolutely remarkable and it's one that we must protect at all costs because it's not just about me, or just about the players or the club itself, this belongs to the people of Warrington who responded in the manner in which we saw on Saturday night.
"Long may it continue, we must encourage it and we must protect it.
"I'm sure Rochdale's ground will accommodate our fans nicely. It has three sides of seating and an end terrace. The pitch is short but wide with a very good playing surface and because it's a very tight stadium, the atmosphere will be superb on Saturday."
