Search is on for Irish band

WHITECROSS Community Centre and the ward's three councillors are appealing for the help of an Irish band to make a charity party a night to remember.

The centre hopes to stage an Irish night in April or May to raise cash for the Mums and Tots Group and other community centre projects.

Ged Kelly, chairman of the Whitecross Residents' Association, said that the band would be "watered and fed" for their troubles.

Any band that can play on a Friday or Saturday night in April or May is asked to call Ged Kelly on 235316.
