Move to new venue perks up coffee club

A COMMUNTY club in Latchford is on the move again after its former premises were shut down and the building its members were moved to was found to be unsuitable.

The Open Doors Community Coffee Club was moved out of the Carol Street Community Centre last year when Warrington Borough Council shut down the building.

The club moved to the Victoria Park Stadium, but members complained that it was like meeting in an "air hangar".

Meetings will now be held at St Hilda's Mission, on Slater Street.

New members are welcome to join in the bingo and raffles and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and a slice of cake with friends.

The next meeting is on Wednesday, February 25, at the Mission, from 1.30pm until 3.30pm.
