Deborah scoops media honour

AN Old Hall student has earned an international media award for her 'moving toy mechanisms' work at Staffordshire University.

Deborah Muirhead studied an interactive multimedia degree course, combining art and computing, and was given the honour, at the International Student Media Festival, for her undergraduate work.

The 24-year-old, who now works for a global satellite communications company, said: "During my final year at university I feel that I have worked intensively and it is nice to see the efforts of both myself and my lecturer recognised in winning this award."
