Runcorn Apec Taxis Darts League

NAVVY lead the way in section one as they bid to retain the title following a 5/4 win against Lion Doo Waps. Previous leaders Albion lost 6/3 to Halfway A.

There were 19 dart games from Jim Reynolds and Barry O'Connor and a 120 finish from Wally Done, Albion's Nigel Peterson finished in 16 darts.

Tricorn remain third after beating Wanderers 5/4, fourth placed Wilsons enjoyed a comprehensive 8/1 win against Outcasts.

Roundhouse A remain second bottom after losing 5/4 to Likely Lads.

Section two leaders Halfway Gents let a 3/1 lead slip away, losing 5/4 to Halton Marauders.

The new leaders on average are Tranny Lads who beat Pavilions A 8/1.

There was a 16-dart game from Steve Allan, which included a maximum.

Another maximum in this section came from Union Tavern's Brian Tildsley who helped his team to a 7/2 win against Cherry Tree A Team.

The top two teams both won in section three, leaders Dreadnaughts were pushed all the way by Draymen eventually winning 5/4, second placed Lion beat Waterloo 6/3.

Fourth placed Weston Point SC's won 5/4 against Pavilions B while a 101 finish from Jim Getty Jnr helped to push Royal Oak up to fifth after his team beat Grapes 6/3.

The Burma went into a 4/2 lead against Castle but then ran out of players resulting in a 5/4 win for opponents Castle.

With second placed Dev Superstars having an open date, section four leaders Navvy Lads went two points clear after beating Clarendon 5/4.

Third placed Fiddlers III lost by the same score against Union Pods while the Quaysiders lost to bottom of the table Trannie Mix. Them Lot lost 6/3 to Halfway Mixed.

Navvy Lads beat section two opponents Union Tavern 3/2 in the third round of the Todger Jones Cup to reach the semis. Brian Robinson scoring a 171 for the Lads.

Halfway A's John Vaughan and Brian Whitby produced a 17 dart game to help their team to a 4/1 win against Fiddlers III. Dave Leather and John Dutton finished in 18 in Lion Doo Waps 4/1 win against Red Admiral.

They will be joined in the semi final by Albion, 5/0 winners against Tranny Lads.

A secretaries meeting will be held at 7.30pm on Wednesday, February 25, at the War Memorial club. Registration forms for the summer league will be distributed.
