Flurry of tries give Northwich sides impressive wins

ON SATURDAY Northwich 2nds and 3rds were in action against the reincarnated Sale Amateurs and returned to mid Cheshire with two wins under their belts.

The ever improving and impressive Northwich 2nds won 28-18 with a five try blast, including two from Stuart Mills, two from Jamie Brunlees and a scorcher from Adam Bown.

l Northwich 3rds ran out 21-20 winners at home to Sale but more important than the score was the style of play which produced some of the best rugby seen so far this season

In a friendly but fiercely contested encounter Northwich eventually seized victory from the jaws of defeat when first team manager Jan Cartman came on as a late replacement and cheekily intercepted a Sale pass to score under the posts.

l THIS week the 2nd's entertain Metrovic and the thirds visit Buxton while the 1sts return to action, having had a week off, against promotion hopefuls Bowdon at Moss Farm.
