Balloon race marks Wolves' stadium debut

BALLOONS will be released into the sky as Wolves fans prepare for the first game in the town's new rugby league stadium.

And all the money raised through the balloon race will help to provide services for people with disabilities in Warrington.

The event will be launched just before the Warrington v Wakefield match on Saturday, February 21, at 5.30pm in the Halliwell Jones Stadium.

People are being invited to buy their balloon tags now, to be in with the chance of winning the £500 first prize.

Tags are on sale, at £1.50, from Warrington Collegiate this week, at Asda Westbrook on Saturday, February 7, and at Golden Square Shopping Centre from Saturday, February 14 to Friday, February 20.

A £100 prize will also be on offer to the person who returns the winning tag.

The race has been organised by Golden Square Shopping Centre, Warrington Wolves and Warrington Disability Partnership.
