Reward for return of stolen tools

A REWARD has been posted for the return of £4,000 worth of specialist tools that were pinched from an engineer's van on Monday evening.

A crook smashed the back window of a blue Astra van, parked on Ellerslie Avenue, Rainhill, and snatched the tools, including calibration equipment and a set of portable scales,

The 47-year-old engineer who owned the tools said: "This is equipment I've built up over the years and is used in specialised type of engineering. No doubt it will now end up in a car boot sale.

"I'm self employed and I've had to cancel the rest of the week in work because of the theft. I will offer a reward for the return of the tools."

Anyone with information about the whereabouts of the engineering equipment can contact Rob on 07774713415.
