Sixpenny to close for

six weeks

WARRINGTON Borough Council has announced that it is temporarily closing the Sixpenny Walk in Fairfield - which links Battersby Lane and Dalton Bank - because of the demolition of the former Tinsley wireworks.

The closure will come into effect on Monday, February 16, and is expected to last for six weeks.

The alternative route will be via the A57, Cockhedge Green Roundabout, and Battersby Lane.
