Pupils give thumbs-up to new Wolves stadium

SPORTY youngsters from a primary school in Dallam were invited to see the new Halliwell Jones Stadium ahead of Warrington Wolves' first game there.

The children from Dallam Community Primary School had a tour of the ground, taking in the changing rooms and walking through the tunnel on to the playing field.

They even managed to test out the comfort of the directors' seats and had a nosey around the exclusive executive boxes.

The outing was organised by teacher Susan Wood, who said that the pupils thoroughly enjoyed the visit.

She added: "Since the building of the new stadium, the children's interest in rugby league has risen and the after school rugby league club is going really well."

New Opportunities funding has allowed the school to set up the after school rugby league club.
