History to repeat itself?

CROSFIELDS Amateur Rugby League Club have confirmed that their Powergen Challenge Cup third round tie against professional outfit Workington Town will have a 2.30pm kick-off at Wilderspool Stadium on February 8.

Admission prices will be £7 for adults and £3 for concessions. The match will bring back memories of the amateur club's previous clash with the Cumbrian outfit in the 1989/90 season after Crosfields qualified to enter the Regal Trophy on the back of winning the National Cup the year before.

Soap came close to pulling off a shock in the preliminary round when they lost 19-14 to the second division side.
