Community projects to benefit

COMMUNITY projects in Halton have benefited from the landfill tax credit scheme.

Runcorn's Wigg Island visitors centre will receive £50,000 and Widnes' Victoria Park play area and Streets Ahead to Regeneration will get £47,500 between them.

The money was raised by Waste Recycling Group and distributed by environmental body Wren.
