A 'knight' in with the telly

KNIGHT of the wrestling realm, Andy 'the Rage' Baker, is set to make his TV debut in America after learning the ropes among the best of the best.

The Runcorn wrestler is making the grade at the exclusive Ohio Valley Wrestling School alongside World Wrestling Entertainment greats such as Billy Gunn, Shaun O'Haire and Tommy Dreamer.

"I am working hard in training to achieve my childhood dream and a place on OVW TV would be a great honour for me," Andy said.

As modern day knight, Sir Andrew Baker, the 22 year-old has already moved up into the advanced class where he stands to win a developmental contract and a chance to shine in his armour on national TV.

He said: "I just want to make a name for myself at OVW and let my skills do the talking. This is the place where the WWE looks for new talent."

The school is one of the top training grounds for the next generation of superstar grapplers hoping to make it onto the world stage.

But the Beechwood-born battler is unfazed by the star names he trains with on a daily basis.

"OVW is the only official training facility in the world for the WWE and you just never know who is going to come through the doors.

"The advanced class has the developmental contract wrestlers in and that is my target. When the opportunity comes along I will grab it," he said.
