Concern grows for Peter, 76, missing from home

PEOPLE are being urged to look out for a 76-year-old man with dementia who has been missing since Thursday (January 22).

Peter Jones left his home in the Great Sankey area at around 4.30pm and has not been seen since.

If he does not take his medication he may become confused and unaware of his surroundings.

Hood Manor residents are being asked to check the grounds of their homes including any outbuildings in case he has taken shelter inside.

Mr Jones could return to places with which he is associated, including Bewsey and Manchester city centre. He is a keen ornithologist and had visited wildlife reserves across north west England.

He is 5ft 2inches tall, with grey hair and a skinny build but with broad shoulders.

He was wearing a knee-length blue anorak, a grey sweatshirt, brown corduroy trousers, grey shoes and a brown tweed flat cap. He walks with his hands behind his back and with small steps, appearing to shuffle.

Anyone wanting to report a sighting of Mr Jones should call Warrington police on 652222.
