RANGERS at Bewsey Old Hall are asking Warrington people to take a step back in time and donate some of their old photos for a new local history display.
The hall dates back to the 17th century and was the home of the Boteler family, Lords of the Manor of Warrington, for more than 300 years.
The debate over its future brought an end to public tours in 2001 with costumed guides holding their last event in October. In July last year, an English Heritage report highlighted Bewsey Old Hall as one of five Warrington landmarks that was at risk of falling into disrepair.
The latest appeal for photos and memories of the hall, which once played host to a visit from King James I, will hopefully form part of a new exhibition on the history of Warrington.
For more information contact the rangers on 571836.
