PSYCHIC detectives Jackie Dennison and Christine Hamlett have come to the rescue of a Hartford man whose personality changed in a haunted house.

The clairvoyants from Barnton discovered the ghost of the builder of the cottage in Hartford was trying to communicate with Martin Bagnall.

Twenty-year-old Martin had moved into the 18th century cottage in Hartford with his girlfriend Elissa Bramhall and their son Cameron, aged 10 months, in September last year.

But after the move, Martin's personality changed. He became aggressive, swore, suffered from bad headaches and little Cameron would go nowhere near him.

Elissa also felt uncomfortable. She heard screams coming from one room and in desperation called the medium rescuers.

Jackie said: "When we arrived, Martin's body suddenly shook violently.

"His eyes bulged and went black and his face contorted with rage. Even his body shape changed.

"Christine put her hand on Martin's chest and shouted: 'Leave him alone'.

"Martin was screaming: 'Get out of my house' and I realised he was possessed.

"Christine pushed Martin against the wall while I shouted to the ghost to come to me instead."

The ghost is believed to be that of 18th century builder Martin Wilkinson.

He was said to be unhappy because alterations were being planned to the house and he had also been cheated out of an inheritance which had been due to him from an uncle.

The clairvoyants believe the ghost picked on Martin because he is psychic.

Martin said: "We were really unsettled in the house. Cameron wouldn't come to me at all.

"I had head pains. I would walk into a room and get pins and needles.

"It was really frightening.

"I never believed in it myself until that night."
