TOWN ARE ON THE UP

MIDDLEWICH Town are back on track after a 2-1 win over mid table Pilkington.

The victory, and the three points, keeps Middlewich in contention at the top of the table and they are now just three points behind second placed Linotype with a game in hand.

But perhaps more importantly they are just five points behind league leaders Barnton who face the tough prospect of a trip to Rylands on Saturday.

Town though have their own difficult task with the away trip to Golborne Sports.

Omens

Despite this Middlewich will be looking to take all three points from the match and the omens look good as Golborne lost this week to lowly Daten.

l MIDDLEWICH Town Reserves scored a perfect 10 at the weekend threashing Cheadle Heath Reserves 10-0.

Lewis Warren top scored for town with four goals while Gil Gomas also got in on the action with his own hat-trick.

The scoring spree was completed by Jamie Petrie (two) and Gavin Tomlinson.

On Saturday the Reserves continue their chase for Reserve Division honours when they host next to bottom Crosfield Reserves at Seddon Street.
