Lucky escape for driver after car flips over

A WOMAN is thought to have escaped with minor injuries despite her car flipping onto its roof after a two-vehicle collision outside a high school.

A police spokeswoman said the Ford Fiesta car ended up on its roof after the accident on Elton head road, outside Sutton High School. The woman driver was taken to Whiston Hospital, though an ambulance service spokesperson said her injuries were minor.

The accident happened at about 8.30am on Thursday, January 8.
