Igloos in Halton

NEW style igloo paper banks will soon be appearing in towns and villages across Cheshire as local councils strive to meet EU targets and avoid hefty fines.

The 40 new banks have a more modern and eye-catching look and will help collect the 1,500 tonnes of waste paper collected each year in Cheshire.

"We are absolutely committed to upping our recycling rate," a spokesperson for Cheshire County Council said.
