VALE Royal Borough Council's proposed arts strategy is entering the final phase of public consultation.
People have until January 30 to comment on Vale Royal Borough Council's strategy for developing arts in the area.
Clr John Grimshaw, lead councillor for recreation and the arts said: "The arts are rich throughout Vale Royal with many community groups and other organisations active in visual art, music, drama, dance, literature, photography and video.
"It is important that any strategy the Council implements reflects the views and wishes of Vale Royal's residents, that way the development of the arts within Vale Royal will continue to flourish".
The proposals, which have been drawn up after the initial public consultation period last year, focus on three main themes; social and community; economy and the environment.
The document sets out the council's aims to encourage local residents as well as visitors to the area to get involved and take advantage of the Vale Royal art scene.
The council is keen to hear peoples views about what is being proposed, which includes encouraging young people to get involved with the arts and creative activities, offering arts to rural areas and promoting arts projects that involve public participation in the countryside.
The draft arts strategy can be read in full and the feedback form filled in on-line by visiting Vale Royal Borough Council's website www.valeroyal.gov.uk/leisure/arts_strategy.html
Alternatively, a copy can be requested from Katherine West, VRBC's arts development officer by telephoning on 01606 867522 or via e-mail kwest@valeroyal.gov.uk
