New Year's delivery right on time for Crewe couple

A CREWE pizza man got more than he bargained for on his last trip of 2003 when he had to whisk his wife to Leighton Hospital for her to deliver their baby.

Jeff Reid who is the franchisee of the Nantwich Road Domino's Pizza store swapped piping hot pizzas for his wife Mignon to race her to the hospital to give birth to their third child, Callum William.

Proud mum Mignon said: "Out of the three children I have given birth to here, in Germany and in Glasgow, my experience here has been by far the best due to mid-wife Catherine Warner, the staff and the pleasant surroundings of Leighton Hospital."
