Wolves in far stronger position this time

WARRINGTON Wolves coach Paul Cullen is not ruling out more signings this year.

He has named a squad of 26 players for Super League IX after bringing in four fresh faces but he is prepared to swoop again if particular players suddenly become available.

Cullen said: "I am very happy with my squad and I genuinely think we are in a far stronger position this year than we were 12 months ago.

"Our front row is stronger both physically and in terms of experience.

"I can't foresee us being pushed out of games like we were last year but I would like to think that the door is not absolutely shut to more new signings.

"If someone came along who could strengthen our squad even further then we would be in the position to sign him."

Cullen's aim for 2004 is simply for Wolves to better their 2003 performances in the Challenge Cup and in Tetley's Super League.
